Production Lead

Job Summary:

The Production Lead will help oversee all aspects of the production process and will provide a strong leadership presence.

Job Duties:

  • Responsible for coordinating and maintaining production line set ups & staffing.
  • Ensure that all personnel have been adequately trained to perform the functions on the production lines.
  • Collaborate with Product Line Managers and Engineering to resolve product quality issues.
  • Daily verification of the production schedule and sequencing of the schedule to ensure maximum output from all production lines.
  • Visual work order entry for labor & Inventory transactions.
  • Ensure that all process parameters are followed accurately and that the staff has a clear understanding of the process controls and specs.
  • Complete first article inspections on all production runs.
  • Complete all tasks in Performance Management programs and HR documents including annual evaluations and employee performance documentation.
  • Monitor Plant 2 facilities housekeeping, grounds upkeep, & security.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Manufacturing Environment including – hazards, safety requirements, logistical requirements
  • Good Manufacturing Practices (current)
  • Flexibility & Adaptability to change on a daily basis
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in written documents
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on an infrequent basis
  • 2 years production leadership experience
  • Ability to work mandatory overtime when scheduled & possibly on short notice
  • Required participation in additional Visual system or technical training
  • Assisting in managing alternate plant production lines
