This position will require job rotation in order for the employee to learn more than one part of the assembly process, including material gathering, construction, quality control, packaging, shipping, and receiving of product. The worker will need to be able to review and follow instructions, diagrams and blueprints to complete their task. The position will require a knowledge of a variety of tools, including punches, hammers, wrenches, cutters, clamps, calipers, pliers, templates, molds, paint sprayers, or welding equipment and other electric- or gas-powered machines. The individual may be responsible for programming or repairing these tools, as well as cleaning up work areas where they use them.
•Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, sub-assemblies, tools, and materials.
•Positions parts and sub-assemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
•Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and sub-assemblies.
•Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.
•Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.
•Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
•Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
•Unload truck containers that are received into the warehouse.
Qualifications and Skills:
•Excellent vision, coordination and dexterity to deal with handling and manipulating materials and parts.
•Must be able to focus on the task at hand and pay attention to details.
•Must be able to lift 75 lbs and be able to repetitive work with long periods of sitting, standing, bending, twisting or lifting.
•Fork Lift training and experience is preferred, but not required.
•Must have a valid driver’s license.
Education: High School diploma required.
Compensation: hourly position.
Duration of Employment: Seasonal Part-Time
-Must be able to lift at least 50lbs
-Must be able to stand for 4 hours at a time.
Work Days: Possible work days are Monday - Friday but are flexible based on candidate's availability.
