Director of Field Sales
The Director of Field Sales is an innovative sales executive who can develop and execute successful sales strategies in a quickly changing industry. They are an inspirational leader who can empower others as well as hold them accountable to achieve results and exceed goals. They will be responsible for the implementation and leadership of the Company's integrated sales and marketing plans, ensuring achievement of annual sales goals and will take ownership of business development activities to achieve exceptional sales growth. The Director of Field Sales will lead/manage a focused sales team in USA and Canada, and will serve as the expert sales voice as part of our Management Team and in collaboration with the Company's Divisional Vice Presidents.
-Own the sales process, revenue forecasting and business planning
-Actively lead, coach and develop a team of key account managers to leverage their individual strengths to meet company sales goals and objectives
-Collaborate with divisional Vice Presidents and the Key Account Managers to develop and implement long term sales strategies and marketing initiatives
-Develop and implement plans to capture new clients and obtain growth within the existing customer base
-Implement sales goals and objectives and prioritize key clients in accordance with marketing sales plan
-Assure proper on-going account management protocols are in place and are being followed by sales team
-Identify targeted accounts by taking the lead in development of new clients as well as supporting your team with resolving outstanding issues, providing additional support and closing sales
-Assist account managers in representing the company through key market visits, new product training and sales presentations
-Participate in negotiating contracts, pricing and terms with accounts
-Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business or equivalent experience
-Minimum 5 years sales and management experience in the durable consumer products industry
-Experience in developing and implementing strategies to penetrate new sales channels
-Proven business development skills with a track record of building a pipeline, moving opportunities through the sales cycle; proposing, presenting and discussing goals and solutions with Key retail decision makers
-Demonstrated experience directly leading sales teams, with an impeccable ability to impact and influence through a collaborative approach
-An effective, persuasive speaker and writer with strong presentation skills who can communicate effectively with internal management, external sales team and client groups
-Excellent organizational and time management skills
-Ability to travel & arrange remote work schedule: 40% (anticipated)
-A strong preference for experience in the Hunting, Fishing and Lawn and Garden markets. Existing customer knowledge and relationships strongly preferred.
-Advanced knowledge of CRM tool(s) and implementations preferred
-Ability to work from corporate headquarters in Cumberland, WI strongly preferred. (60% anticipated)
