Position Summary:
This position provides product development support for Ardisam's hunting and camping brands, including Rivers Edge Treestands®, Barronett Blinds®, and Gazelle Tents®. The role assists with the design, testing, documentation, and quality of both new and existing products. Key product categories include tree stands, hunting blinds, and camping tents, with a focus on product quality, performance, safety, and innovation throughout the development process.
Key Responsibilities:
•Work with a wide range of materials, components, and manufacturing processes, including injection-molded plastics, sheet metal, tubing, aluminum extruding, welding, machining, and rubber molding.
•Interpret product requirements and develop effective engineering solutions.
•Apply theoretical calculations, analytical methods, and sound design principles to support product development.
•Create and maintain part drawings, solid models, and bills of materials (BOMs).
•Build, evaluate, and test prototypes to validate product performance and functionality.
•Troubleshoot technical issues and provide practical problem-solving support.
•Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities related to product design, quality, and manufacturability.
•Manage assigned projects and ensure milestones and deadlines are met.
Qualifications:
•Currently enrolled in an accredited Engineering program and in good academic standing.
•Mechanical aptitude with strong hands-on skills and a passion for problem-solving.
•Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel, and comfortable using a variety of PC-based software tools.
•Experience with 3D solid modeling; SolidWorks experience preferred.
•Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
•Strong written and verbal communication skills.
•Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
•Self-motivated with a high level of initiative, accountability, and confidence.
•Experience working with or designing mechanical products is preferred.
Cooperative Education Details:
•Duration: January-August or June-December
•Schedule: Monday - Friday
•Hours per Day: 8 hours
•Shift: First Shift
•Location: Cumberland, WI
•Compensation: Exempt, Salaried Position
