Job Summary:

Ardisam is seeking a test engineer to establish test procedures and coordinate testing of products as well as perform root cause analysis of failures. This role is responsible for all phases of product quality, from the design phase to end of life. The products that would be managed in this position would fall under three main categories: Internal Combustion Engine Products, Battery Powered Products, and accessories for Powered Products. This position will focus on quality assurance for all products within those categories. The ability to communicate effectively both internally and with overseas vendors is critical for success in this role. The ability and willingness to travel internationally is required.

 

Job Duties:

·        Build testing framework and define testing parameters based on inputs from the product design team

·        Build or procure equipment that facilitates testing needs

·        Maintain and modify existing test equipment which includes electrical and mechanical systems

·        Utilize dynamometer and other lab tools to establish baseline performance

·        Create and maintain work instructions for test equipment

·        Study the data gathered during testing and evaluate the validity of the results

·        Create test reports to clearly communicate data and findings to product design team and management

·        Suggest improvements based on test results, in field failures, customer feedback, and serviceability

·        Issue, track and document supplier corrective actions

·        Review and analyze customer returns to identify early failure points and areas of improvement

·        Create technical service bulletins or other documents needed for after sales support

·        Review and monitor production in Cumberland facilities as well as overseas suppliers

·        Maintain tools and equipment in test lab

 

Qualifications and Skills:

·        A strong mechanical aptitude is a must, and hands on experience with manufacturing and/or maintenance is strongly preferred

·        Working knowledge of electromechanical system design and maintenance

·        Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

·        Capacity to analyze a problem from multiple perspectives and explore creative solutions

·        Detail oriented with strong time management and organization skills

·        Experience in 3D solid modeling is preferred

·        A knowledge of standard quality assurance practices is preferred

 

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
