Job Summary:

This entry level position is responsible for providing support in our growing camping and hunting categories and other soft good product development. The purpose of this position is to assist in the design, illustration, and technical aspects of our camping tents, hunting blinds, and accessories. Looking for someone who has a passion for creating high quality products in the outdoor sporting goods market.

 

Job Duties:

·        Create/illustrate technical drawings shelters, bags, and various accessories using Adobe Illustrator

·        Assist the Soft Goods team with design projects and product line development

·        Assist in creating/maintaining product standards, specifications, and bill of materials

·        Measure and review incoming samples against technical specification packets and make updates based on team feedback and product testing

·        Effectively communicate with overseas vendors on product details as needed

·        Assist quality team in root cause analysis and determining solutions

·        Manage and organize samples for photography, meetings and presentations as needed

·        Research trends, technology, and competition

·        May also be a shared resource as needed for the apparel product categories

·        Travel to Asian suppliers to assist in the development of new products, build relationships, support production, and meet shipping schedule when needed

 

Qualifications and Skills:

·        Proficient in Adobe Suite (Adobe Illustrator) & Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Excel, Word)

·        Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills

·        Detail oriented and strong time management and organization skills

·        Technical Specification packet creation and technical writing

·        Understanding of sewn products quality: fit, stitches, seams, textiles, etc.

·        Ability to multitask and prioritize workload from multiple projects

·        Possesses strong analytical thinking skills

 

Education: Four-year college degree or equivalent experience in industrial design, apparel design, or related field.

Compensation: Level 4

 

Duration of Employment: Full Time

 

Workdays: Monday – Friday

 

Hours / Day: 8

 

Work Shift: First Shift

 

Travel: Ability to travel up to 20% is required and overseas travel may also be necessary.
